Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu (2016)
Director--Srinivas Gavireddy
Producer--S Shailendra Babu
The Movie Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu is a Telugu drama film starring Raj Tarun in the main role. it is Drma & Comedy Movie.Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu is latest movie starring Raj Tharun who has been giving hit after hit. Directed by newcomer Srinivas Gavireddy, the film tells the story of a guy winning his childhood love by taking up the challenge to play cricket game against a professional cricket team. Sounds Lagaan? Well, this is more of rehashed version of Kabaddi Kabaddi (2003) starring Jagapathi Babu and Kalyani.
Like Kabaddi Kabaddi, the film is set in the rural backdrop of
Godavari districts and we have a heroine looking similar to Kalyani
(played by Malayali beauty Arthana). As you have guessed by now, the
story doesn’t offer anything new. But the narration too doesn’t merit
any brownie points.
First half of the movie works to some extent with some good comedy done by Shakalaka Shankar and gang. The fun scenes on Raj Tharun have also worked before the interval. Trouble begins post the interval with the story shifting gears and ending up repeating Lagaan/Kabaddi Kabaddi scenes with lengthy time. This kind of simple stories needs speed narration, and less runtime.
Raj Tharun has played the similar role – fit for nothing guy falling in love with a girl and making tall claims that the girl would come to him though he doesn't do anything. He has played similar roles in all the movies. So there isn't much difference in his performance here either. Arthana looks typically rural Telugu girl. Raja Ravindra, Shankar, Ranadeer, Ratna Sagar and Sureka Vani have done neat job. Shakalaka Shankar’s comedy timing is perfect. He makes us laugh out loudly in some scenes.
